Diocletian’s Palace, one of the eight UNESCO-protected sights in Croatia is a 1700 years old monument build by Emperor Diocletian. The maze of streets, cafes & shops in the Split city center once used to be the interior of Dioklecian‘s house.

Join us on this expedition to explore the nucleus on which the city of Split was built. 2-hour tour takes you through the Roman part of town and Medieval part of town. Some of the sites you will visit are: Riva promenade, City Hall, the Statue of Gregory of Nin, Peristil, St. Domnius Cathedral, UNESCO protected Diocletian’s Palace, Vestibul…and many more. You will also get to learn more about Split’s rich architectural history and get an introduction of some of its must-see art.

 Fascinating History Tour
Our guide, Ina, was marvelous- she was knowledgeable, fun and the tour was a highlight of our stay in Split. As an archaeologist she provided unique insight to the history of Split, Croatia, and of course, Diocletian’s Palace.

 Split's Story
Her explanations in English were clear and articulate. She clearly has a good historical knowledge base but above all was able to give human meaning to the buildings objects and events she described
